These are a MUST.
Every child needs a handprint turkey, old school style! You know, before Pinterest made use get waayyy too creative!
Get your colors ready. I let the kids pick what color for each finger! 🙂 I paint and press!
Thumbprint for the neck. When it dries, you can add face & legs.
- Plain or light colored Paper
- Paint; brown, orange, red yellow, green.
- Pen or Sharpie
- Brown Construction Paper
- Orange Construction Paper
- Paint (orange, yellow, red, brown, teal)
- Google Eyes
We did the handprints first, one color at a time. Once dried, have the kids add the turkey parts and details to complete.
These came out cuter than I could have imagined. We added the pilgrims that we had already. I got ours from Michaels but I found them at Factory Direct Craft for you for 10/$2.59 to order online.
All you need is
- Brown Paint
- White Construction Paper (cut like flags)
I was super proud of these!! They came out so adorable. I found the orginal idea on pinterest and coco’d it up a little. The legs are pipe cleaners and the feathers on top are pom poms cut up.I cut the oval for the body out of construction paper along with the beak.
Love the looks on the kids faces when they realize they made something awesome!!!
Saw this months ago and could NOT wait to do them!!
I suggest getting yourself the colors and paint you need, sit down with one child at a time and a wet wash cloth or rag.
Do the red hand first then the blue and white, cleaning in between. Once it is dry you can add the words and face to make it come alive.
